THE EMERGING GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS: DOES IT GIVE YOU ANY CONCERN?
According to a recent research publication on "The Emerging
Crisis: Noncommunicable Diseases" by The Council on Foreign Relations, it
has been observed that the gravest health threats facing low and middle-income
countries like Nigeria are not the plagues, parasites, mosquitoes, rats and
blights that dominate the news cycle and international relief efforts. To them,
the greatest threats to our health are the everyday diseases that everybody
understands and talks about, but fails to take action against.
In their report, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and
other Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), also referred to as chronic diseases have
emerged as the leading cause of death and disability in developing countries. For
instance, in 2013 alone, these diseases killed eight million people aged below
60 years in these countries.
Most painful is the fact that, the greater number of the death and
disability from NCDs in these nations is higher among the working class. In
Africa, that proportion is even higher than 80 percent. Unless urgent action is
taken, this emerging crisis will worsen and may become harder to address.
The factors fueling the soaring rates of NCDs include dramatic
changes in urbanization and economic crises.
Inhabitants of densely packed urban areas often face pollution (outdoors
and the burning of fuels), tobacco products, and inadequate nutrition. Nearly a
quarter of premature deaths in developing countries are now attributed to high
blood pressure arising from smoking, and bad diet.
Unfortunately also, the prevailing economic challenges and the
ravaging abject poverty within the African continent is even making matters
worse. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the global economic
downturn is likely to have ripple effects on health and social spending,
especially in developing countries. The challenge facing the world now and
particularly our nation is, how to prevent the prevailing economic crisis from
becoming a social and health crisis.
Ironically, in this part of the world, we rely majorly on the
government to do almost everything for us even when the government has
continued to fail us. The Federal and State Governments are the major providers
of basic health facilities and services in Nigeria. But every one of us knows
that these facilities are not adequately equipped to handle these emerging
crises in our health system. Going by the projections in the 2016 Appropriation
Bill, the Federal government plans to spend a paltry sum of N221.7 billion on
the health sector. This according to the Nigerian Medical Association portends
disaster for the nation.
These crises may not really be of any serious concern to the
government because majority of them in government have their own personal doctors
(home and abroad). They can afford regular medical checkups, good diets, and
even use the best health supplements. But you; how prepared are you to avoid
the pitfall and save yourself from this impending calamity?
In her remark on this issue, Margaret Chan (Director General of
the World Health Organization) said, “The worldwide increase of
non-communicable diseases is a slow-motion disaster ... but the unhealthy
lifestyles that fuel these diseases are spreading with a stunning speed and
sweep.”
Wasting our precious time and energy apportioning blames between past
and present governments will not take away the impending disaster. Folding our
hands and pretending or living as if nothing is wrong will not even help our
situation. Reliable reports revealed that, these chronic diseases along with
mental illness, will cost the developing world US$21 trillion over the next two
decades. It is time to start thinking of solutions.
Many people especially those suffering from cardiovascular
diseases, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and other chronic
diseases live on drugs as if it is a normal diet. This undoubtedly is not the
way that God has created our body to function. Many of them surrendered to such
abnormal lifestyle not because they loved it but because they had already lost
their natural freedom to good health to disease. You can also imagine the
economic implications of such lifestyle especially when majority of such drugs
are imported at high exchange rate.
What really strikes me most is that, many of us are just living
our lives oblivious of these emerging crises in our health system. Our
environment is now under increasing attack by over 80,000 poisonous chemicals from
pollution of our air, water and food. This, coupled with increasing levels of
stress, poor diets, lack of adequate sleep and lack of proper exercise is
adversely affecting our health, yet, many of us are so indifferent to it.
Almost everybody today talks about the dangers of high cholesterol in our
diets, the danger of smoking and chemical pollutions; we all understand and talk
about them, but fail to take necessary action to prevent their effects on our
health.
Also, the global financial crises resulting to high rate of unemployment,
loss of opportunity, rising cost of living and declining income is even
compounding the problem. Life expectancy in our country today is less than the
official retirement age and that is why so many youths are forced into
challenges of life from an early age due to death of their parents.
Something urgent must be done to address this ravaging calamity.
And, it is certainly not the responsibility of the government alone because
health is a personal issue. There is nobody, no matter how sympathetic the
person is that is ready to share your health challenges with you. What I intend
to do through this write up is to share the solutions with you.
If only we can allow our human body which is comprised of
trillions of cells to be performing exactly the way the creator intends it to
function, all our health challenges will be a thing of the past. God has
created in our body a miracle molecule called GLUTATHIONE. It is likely that
you have never heard about it before and the simple reason for that is because
many doctors here do not know how to address the epidemic deficiency of this
critical life-giving molecule.
It has been proved by most medical research findings that deficiency
of glutathione is the root cause of every chronic disease such as cancer, HIV,
High Blood Pressure, Stroke, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, etc. What many
people do not know is that, every sickness in our body starts from the cellular
level. When the cells in your body have problem, it affects the tissue, the
organ, the body system and the result is illness, hence an efficient and
effective health and wellness plan must start from the level of the cells.
Glutathione is the molecule created by God to help protect the cells and that
is why medical scientist calls it the master antioxidants and ultimate cell
protector.
The subject of glutathione has become a central focus in the
search for solutions to serious health challenges. In fact, there are currently more than 98,000
articles and studies published on PubMed.org - the official medical research
library of the United States of America government. Although this molecule is
present in our body from birth but the bad news is that, once you are past age
21, your glutathione level begins to decline steadily by 8% to 12% per decade.
Levels of Glutathione are further reduced by continual stress upon the immune
system such as illness, infection, and environmental toxins.
As you can see from the diagram above, the red line represents
glutathione level while the black line represents oxidative stress. Once you
are past age 20, your glutathione level starts to decline whereas your level of
oxidative stress increases with your age. At the point where the two lines intercept,
the person is likely to start experiencing some symptoms of chronic diseases. We
have a large number of people just below 60years who are already battling with symptoms of High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Cancer, Stroke, etc.
But something very interesting is happening now that will reverse
the trend. Now you can take back your health and help your body cells to
function as God has created them to be. After about 25years of extensive
research, Dr Herb Nagasawa (a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Toxicology,
University of Minnesota, USA ) has discovered a medical breakthrough called RiboCeine
for helping our body cells to produce its own glutathione naturally.
The American National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Veteran’s
Administration Department of Medicine and other scientific institutions funded,
peer-reviewed and published Dr Herb Nagasawa’s research work which demonstrated
the unsurpassed effectiveness of RiboCeine for boosting glutathione. This new
medical breakthrough has uncontested superiority in glutathione enhancement and
it is the miracle that the world has been searching for.
Dr Herb Nagasawa learnt this the hard way after dedicating decades
of his life to scientific research before this medical breakthrough could
become a reality.

While most scientists at the top of their game would be elated to
have just ONE of their research articles published in the prestigious Journal
of Medicinal Chemistry, Dr Nagasawa has over 165! Out of those 165 published
studies, 20 of them are based on his Riboceine technology.
The most amazing thing is that, the product is not a drug and Max
International has also made it very affordable.
The good news I have for you today is that, this medical
breakthrough is now being introduced in Nigeria by Max International. By last February,
2016, the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC)
had given approval for the product to be marketed to Nigerians. The challenge
is for you and I to spread the good news so that collectively we can stop the
emerging health crises in our continent. We can change the statistics and help
people take back their lives again.
